My name is Tracey Gibson. Welcome and thank you for visiting our online site. Let me share a little about myself, I am a happily married mother of 2 human babies, 1 fur baby and 4 Feathery babies( Chickens) I am also a Grandmother of 2 little girls who are the love of my life.
As the Founder of Koko’s Haven Wholesale Supplier and Salon. I am SUPER EXCITED about this new adventure taking this new step with products I believe will be popular in the Australian marketplace with plenty more to come in good stead.
Establishing Koko’s Haven has to be one of the most exciting business transitions I have made to date.
The first being my very own Nail and Beauty Salon in 2007 and what a wonderful year that was. My family gathered around me and helped me paint, drill, build and organise the shop it was magnificent.
The excitement of the first day of opening just took me to another planet and the rest was history. That was the pinnacle, all the hard yakka was worth it and I had finally achieved one of my dreams.
However, I did not realise that having that Salon would spark many more dreams to come. How, when, where or why came at a later stage once I had settled and understood the world was my Oyster!
Now I give you Koko’s Haven
First of all starting Koko’s Haven took lots of thought, blood, sweat and tears I promise you it was not easy.
I give a lot of praise to my husband Christopher for supporting me, let’s just say I owe him a lot of beer, cricket and Footy. I also want to recognise the effort my sons extraordinary and talented partner Courtney Stanley gave towards all the crazy legal logistics and organisation at the beginning of this awesome idea this crazy lady decided to travel on.
What I know is we are a business that cares and will not just bring anything on board to make a quick buck, it must pass our stringent tests, meet Australian guidelines and fit your wants and needs. Our motto “If we won’t use it then we won’t share it.”
This concept is not a new concept there are plenty of suppliers who do a brilliant job and have a lot of products that Salon professionals are happy with.
My aim is to find a range of products that go above and beyond which I believe we are doing so far and keep adding others with a purpose in this industry.
After I was given some words of wisdom on my present day business‘s possibly not helping my retirement years due to myself carrying it and being the only face of the business. Fair call! I reassessed what I was doing paired back everything and figured out what I really wanted to do with the knowledge I had. This is what transcribed, one of them was to start educating, the other retrain for something else in the industry and the third was open a little knick-knack shop, I know left of centre with the last one but it really was on my list. There were a few more I may share another day if you wish but these 3 ideas stood out.
Seriously I had no idea where to start and honestly, I was looking for quite some time. I’m guessing the couple of words sent to the universe worked and it hit me with a few things but when the distribution hit, my ears were receptive and here I am. Trust me it wasn’t that easy to get started and is always giving speed bumps but so worth its weight in knowledge.
I couldn’t resist taking this opportunity on because of the love for the Industry, I’m addicted to learning and just couldn’t give it up. I felt a passion for the products I was using in my Salon and had an opportunity to share it all with you.
Now here I am sharing products I know will help others succeed if they choose to take the time and embrace them.
You could say all my ideas have actually come together. I will gladly educate you on all the products, endeavour to train in all that comes my way and you can call my products nick knacks lol!!
